Are you satisfied with your rig?

I am not happy with my MarkIIC+ long head because I know someone out there has the same head with all the options like mine but they have the export transformer and I dont.

I am not happy with most of my gear because someone has something else that I want and I dont have yet so it must be better, then after selling my older gear I find out that what I had was way better so I have to try to buy back what I just ended up selling.

Does this make sense to anyone?

Generally I'm happy. I've got more than I need, and although I want some extra stuff I know that at the end of the day I'm most happy with just my guitar, connected to one amp and cab, and maybe 1 pedal in front.

I don't think about it....lately, I think about getting laid.  A lot! My wife needs to step up! :D

I'll be happy once I finally manage to sell my Ibanez JS1000 and get another Suhr, well happy about my guitars anyway. Then I just have to find "that" amp... oh and more effects obviously that goes without saying.

Very satisfied! Need to get a couple more things (BKPs for 2 of my guitars, Scumback speakers), but even without those things, my rig has sounded amazing since I've switched to thick strings and high action.

I'm happy with everything but need to be able to keep it all working. I've been dealing with amp issues lately and last night at our show I think broke my wireless pack. I forgot I had it in my back pocket and sat down and snap. My buddy said he saw a little arc shoot out my backside. LOL! Ride the Lightning!

Im very happy with my gear but i would like another herbert and a acoustic, theres a few more guitars i would like but i dont need.
if i sell my mccarty and my blackmore i could get some stuff i would play more, the bm hasnt been getting played much since i got my quickrod. so i am satisfied but would like to sell some stuff for some other stuff i would use more.

Yes! After riding the Amp Merry go round for a few years.....

My Diezel Herbert and two 4X12 cabs sounds like Sex on the guitar.

There isnt a tone I cant get out of this amp.
EVERY SETTING sounds PERFECT!!

I'm "satisfied" with my gear but that doesn't mean I don't want more.

I love my Ultra and Mark IV. Love my Suhrs and Charvel. But I look at gear every day. I love gear.

I recently came back from the NY Ampshow wanting to buy a Voodoo Amps V-Rock. I plugged in my rig and said, "I don't need no stinkin' new amp...I have the best tone ever."

Yeah, I'm pretty much satisfied. Bad Cat hot cat's been my core tone for 7-8 years now. The Axe/2502 set up has really cured most amp gas for me - I actually need more alone time with it outside the band so I can work and explore more stuff with it. Guitars I'm good on, though I wouldn't mind snagging a baritone. Effects/controllers - trying to eliminate most everything and use the Axe, again it's just time I need to get stuff tweaked and set up properly...like I still haven't had time to get my expression pedal set up w/Axe thru my ground control.

Actually - I really want a new fucking pedal board...bad. Hate the one I have.

When my Splawn arrives, I will have the gear I want, and it will just be a question of finding the time to connect it all the way I want and tweaking the tones. I just purchased a Rocktron All Access so hopefully with my Patchmate 8 I'll be able to switch everything and have 1-button functionality, just the way I like it. I'm gonna set up the All Access in 10-Preset mode with 5 instant access switches, one of which I'll need for momentary switching to switch the dynamic range on the Vintage Modern head. The other four will be assigned to pedals in front of specific amps or global rack gear (BBE, EQ, etc.).

Cheers,

I give total props to guys who are consistent with their gear over a period of time and not flipping constantly.

I think it's a very fluid situation for alot of people though, you look at their gear and it's like looking at a static photograph that may be different tomorrow.

Player's needs change/evolve over time or they get bored and enjoy flipping or chasing trends.

I'm never going to be satisfied. I'm in the process of selling the amps and cabs to upgrade, but I'm keeping my beloved pedals.

I am.

I think I want a Splawn Streetrod (2 of the combo's) though.

Well of course I wouldn't mind new gear, and still will be like "Oh I want one of those" but its not like I plan on buying anything other than maybe some locking tuners in the foreseeable future.

Your gas has stopped because you have not been to my house yet! :D You will once again have teh gas painz. Yeah, you had a serious brain fart the other day, jeez. That being said, I am pretty fuckin happy with current rig. If no one sold another amp ever, i would survive. Then why the fuck did I order a Hand built amp? Because I can

Haha thats probably true! I really did, I don't know what was wrong with me that day

In general I'm pretty happy. After having gone around the block a couple of times and winding up right back where I started I've learned to hang on to the amps I've clicked with. Now when I get that feeling that my current amp isn't cutting it for me I plug into the next one and it goes away for awhile.

Guitars I'm happy with. I have a couple of options... whether I want PAF, high output, or single coil tones.

Effects I'm good on. It took me a long time to find a wah pedal I liked, but now that I have it I'm extremely satisfied. I'm pretty minimalistic... a wah is all I really need, although I do like to have a vibe and an OD pedal with certain rigs/gigs.

Almost. I love my XTC, but want a better lead tone out of it. Just got an 11R (friends & family plan through Avid/Digi), the GCP and RJM Mini Amp Gizmo. The plan is to have two different clean channels (Blackface Deluxe and AC30), XTC Blue for rhythms (just kills!), use my Red channel in Plexi mode and the SLO sim for leads.

This would pretty much combine all of my favorite amps- most of which I've flipped for something else!
