Armageddon update

There is not just yet, because the prototypes are being used for training sessions and production references. If I can get them back for a little while, I might be able to get some video clips of them in action. No promises about the clips just yet though, as I haven't had the amps in the shop for more than a day or 2 at a time in a little while.

Why does Vengeance have an XLR connector as part of the footswitch connection? What would that do?

thanks for the update but, wow 2012? what happened we been talking about this amp for a long time. anyone else not like the look of the amp?

I think the amp looks great, and it sounded great when I played it at NAMM in January. Don't know why it's taking yet another YEAR to get it into the hands of consumers.

The XLR connector is just a form factor.

I think it looks badass. But yea, I was expecting this thing a year ago.

Are the vengeance and armageddon pretty much voiced the same with the latter amp having an extra channel and built in noise gate? Or are there more differences that I'm not seeing?

What do you mean by a form factor for the XLR?

XLR is just a +, a -, and a ground, just like a 1/4" TRS. Just a way to wire up the wires. Nothing magic.

Sorry to sound so dense- but to do what? Is there a function that the XLR only does, or is it just a backup way to connect the footswitch? I have never seen this on a footswitch before so I am curious.

I'm sure the Japanese massive quake and tsunami didn't speed things up

We really want to get this thing to you guys as fast as possible, but unfortunately it's the way things went for us this year, and it got delayed longer than we wanted it to. You will likely be able to get one through Sweetwater or other independents late this year, since it always takes a little longer for things to make their way into Musicians Friend and Guitar Center. As for the XLR on the pedal, it's just a different way of hooking things up. It works just like a normal cable to a foot switch, but has a little bonus of snapping in place. To answer the other question, the two amps do sound identical, just with more features on the Armageddon. It has the ISP Decimator, a 3rd channel, different cosmetics, and fully adjustable mid range contour instead of preset switches. It will really just come down to seeing if you just want a simpler amp, or if you like having the cooler features on it.

Why are these being made in Japan?

Thanks for that answer. I was hoping that was the case as I'd love to have this amp but don't really need the extra features in the more expensive version. Saving money is always great. I'll be ordering the minute a vengeance head pops up on an internet retailer site.
