Does anybody know the name of the company that makes the "armored" guitar cables? In other words, the cables are contained in a flexible metal casing. Thanks.
No--but on the road, cases roll over them, cymbols fall on them and roadies step on them repeatedly so traditional cables don't have a very long expectancy.
I'm not really a fan of the armored cables because if you step on them, they roll and it's easy to be on your ass before you know what happened. But a guy I work with likes them and he tours a fair bit and he's looking for more of them.
I would think if you ran over an armoured cable (at least one flexible enough to be a guitar cable) with a real heavy road case the armour jacket might severve the cable inside.
i've got a 20 fter samson tech kind, they're quite sturdy!
bought'em when they went discontinued I was lucky enough to find one! I've since stopped using it and use smaller cables. I'll sell ya mine! pm me!
