The ART stuff is objectively awful and was bad even at the time, they sold on the promise of doing more effects at the same time than the competition but the quality just wasn´t there. I suppose it might have some of that cheap 80s charm and like just about everything it can probably sound pretty OK in the right circumstances, but there are a million units that are better. $300 is way too much, to me all these are like $50 yard sale stuff.

Yeah, sorry about that, I just hate all the cheapo stuff that gave guitar rack gear a bad reputation :aww:

total impulse buy. I came across it and I was like fuck....what do I do....I should have asked on here sooner but oh well...I have not tried it yet but I'm hoping it gives me something usable in the loop. Of course all the youtube vids were like YEAH!!! TOTALLY AWESOME 80'S TONEZ BRA!!!!....EFFECTS KILL AND YOU CAN RUN 20 AT A TIME BRA!!!!!...fuckers....

I'll try it out in a little bit with headphones....can't find any of my cables anywhere....
when I had mine I used it primarily for a desk setup with headphones .... a little bit before the Line 6 POD had come out

as of right now I got my ass burned. just scrolling through presets though. cleans and low to mid gain tones are pretty sweet. Once I delve into it more and get the floorboard hooked up I'll revisit this. Right now I can't find my cables to run it in my amp. Also not sure how to adjust and store everything as well.

I have a ART SGX because it came with a bunch of gear I purchased in a package deal. Yeah the distortion tones are nowhere as good as my ADA MP1 or Marshall JMP-1 but some are usable. And the effects are decent. $300 for a mint SGX2000 and footswitch is a good deal. As long as that ENCODER knob which I've heard can be wonky changes presets smoothly I think you did good. It's a cool unit in my opinion. I think I'll eventually add the SGX2000 Express version to my 80s rack. Enjoy it.

I'm going in the t-verbs loop. Which their loops kinda suck so we will see. Will also try it using the tremoverb as a power amp also. Impulse buys are 50/50.....If it doesn't work I'll flip it cheap-take my ass burning and go with something else....
It should be the older parallel loop, which will work well for this purpose. It is basically a built in parallel mixer. Put the mix knob on the T-Verb at about 60%, put the mix on the effects at 100%, and then control the amount with the volume on the effects unit.

I do this all the time with my old Triple Recto.
