Covid has and had over a 98% survivability rate. Much like your opinion on most things American, you have a highly sensationalized opinion about it. No doubt spoon fed to you by your leftist media elites and elected overlords.

2% is far from dropping dead. Locking yourself down, ruining your economy and handing control of your movement over to your commie government because you’re scared of a virus with a 2% death rate is for most Americans the most ludicrous thing imaginable.

If you guys did better per capita with Covid, and I don’t know that you did, A) it couldn’t have been by much. Certainly some infinitesimal fraction of 2% at best and B) can probably be attributed to your medical professionals not being bribed by the government to inflate Covid numbers.

Whatever number of dead Americans you believe in your upside down world was caused by Covid is most definitely not the number of people that actually died FROM Covid.

Re: the 2% death rate... 0.02 x 333 million people = 6.66 million people. In ww2 you lost about 400k people back then you had a population of 140 million. 1.2 million deaths with 333 million people would be comparable to your dead from ww2 adjusted for your current population.

At around 40 - 50k gun deaths per year in the US that'd add up over the years too.

IIRC hospitals, doctors and medical facilities had a financial incentive to report deaths as due to covid if the person had covid. Some are saying deaths are overcounted, others are claiming deaths were undercounted, etc. it seems the data is flawed and the actual numbers will be a guess based on bad data
