Astrobotics moon mission not going great

I think the camera was basically just something neat to do, not so much "proof."
Oh no, they advertised THE HELL out of this "accomplishment". It was everything at the time. And camera photos were for documentation, study, etc. The gov does't just take pics for good times memories.

The cameras were strapped to their chests. Try getting a good photo with a 35mm strapped to your chest while wearing thick winter gloves and a motorcycle helmet. Seems legit.

When that dude broke the sound barrier, they weren't taking tons of pictures of it to 'prove' it happened. They knew what they did, that was ok. People weren't such suspicious and cynical goobers back then.

But why now and not for the past 50 years?
Because its a gubmint gibs program. Lots of extremely capable engineers see they get a big comfy paycheck to do some HECKIN SCIENCE and some bureaucrats get some shine, some political circle jerking, etc. 70% of gubmint spending is dumb shit like this.

Yeah but you could hear it and witness it from another plane or from the ground. It's been repeated millions of times since then. If they had just said "we broke the sound barrier" and then never did it again it would be similarly suspicious.

You don't think they video'd it? And if I'm not mistaken that was military tech that they might wanted to have kept under wraps. They never release footage of valuable military assets. ...Look, the government lies and this story has holes. That's not being suspicious, it's being real. It's subjective, but I think rather you're credulous here.

50 years later and they're gonna give it another go :ROFLMAO:

If they keep delaying the trip the next excuse will be that the moon has moved too far from earth to make it possible to visit again.

How come the gold foil is all super clean looking after they just parked that pig on the moon's surface using a 10,000lbs reverse thrust entgine yet the little lunar rover is pictured throwing up dirt as it's wheels spin?

Imagine being one of these eager stupid young astronauts thinking they're gonna land on the moon someday.

Only to find out you've been lied to and are expected to maintain that lie, the real job of an "ASStronaut".

What is so unbelievable about landing on the moon?

No blast craters from that module coming down but Neil Armstrong steps in the dirt and his boots leave a big fat footprint. Complete malarkey.
