My bad lol. Usually the only people that respond to me think the moon is just the back side of the sun
I definitely believe the Sun and moon are 2 seperate objects. I love how many people throw the Bible at me for certain evidences....not realizing I teach Biblical Hebrew.... Not that you did that here or anything liek that. People can take that text and twist it to mean and say so many things. No, I do NOT want to answer a million questions about verses or translations at this time - Thanks in advance all!

It’s alive!!

The angle of the sun has changed enough to now hit the solar panels of the lander, so they booted it back up.
It’s now confirmed that they within landed 55 meters of their intended location with is very commendable
I get amusement listening to you talk about this like it was real. Look at that phony assed picture. geez. You're like wild eyed kid whose naivety allows him to believe all things fantastical but really someone is getting off lying to you and others.

Well I’m sorry things haven’t worked out for you

Things have worked out pretty good for me, I just don't believe the fake pictures of the lunar surface. You're more trusting in what these people say than a child. I wish I could go back to the challenger explosion at school and piss everyone off by saying IT'S FAKE!

Yea sounds like things are good for ya.

I hope for you your faith is true and whatever it is that’s next for you is worth it, because you are missing out on a lot of what this life has to offer you

He is credulous, at least when some people make claims, but not others. You think the explosion was faked?

Thanks.

Anytime you think life offers you something just look in the mirror and remember those rosy cheeks will be ash one day. Life offers nothing, but death. You have very nicely summed up the difference between the secular mind, who looks to the world and all that it offers as promising, and the the orthodox mind which sees the world and all it's offers in it's true light of vanity and death.

being aware of one's inevitable demise is all the more reason to get the most out of the time you have. We have the ability to shape and impact the lives of generations to come. We can give things to loved ones that will outlast our minds and hearts. I try and make sure those things are positive and beneficial.
Nothing about this life is in vain. You strive for your own personal afterlife in paradise, I strive for my kids and grand kids to lead good lives after I'm gone.

While I generally agree with your sentiments, if there is nothing beyond this life then any personal gains or achievements or "meaningful" things passed on to your children are completely meaningless. That is the world view you hold in actuality because you are grave filler and nothing more in the end. By your own admission you are chasing wind because death for you is permanent and final.

In orthodoxy all things worldly are thought of as meaningless, because they pass away, but since the Lord is eternal we place our hope there, not here. This is what gives life it's meaning. Not family. Not friends. Not stuff. Time to start embracing the source brother.

It just seems your idea of “meaningful” is self centered. It’s possible to believe in something bigger yourself and that bigger thing not being God.
I don’t have to be alive to know my actions had meaning, as long as someone is alive who were affected by my actions, they still have meaning.

It’s interesting how many parallels they are whether you look at the universe scientifically or religiously.
Scientifically, the more you understand the vastness of the universe, the more you understand the unlikelihood of us ever coming across intelligent life besides ourselves.

Some people say without life on earth, the universe is meaningless. I tend to think that without meaningful life on earth, the universe is meaningless.

On a grand scale, the physical earth is almost a spec of nothingness, however because of humanity, it is the also most important thing.

This is the driving force behind studying the universe. We can see 14 billion years worth of it. In that time, planets, stars and galaxies have been born and died. Our sun and planet are no different. They will some day expire, and not because it drag queens.
The more we can learn about the life and death of other planets, the more can understand our own, and the better chance we have of continuing life, the only life known to man, after the expiration date of our planet

Wow, I didn’t realize there was a space religion. I was really onto something when I called you Spaceboi.

Sounds like a fantasy or some sort of God-replacement ideology which is common since the 90's.

So when those people are dead your life no longer carries meaning. That's what you've said here.

The more we can learn about the life and death of other planets, the more can understand our own, and the better chance we have of continuing life, the only life known to man, after the expiration date of our planet
The earth endures forever my man.

What if the next 5 generations of my family all play guitar? The joy they get from it is the meaning.
Hey, maybe they won’t, but that still doesn’t mean I should be a miserable prick during the time I do have.

And yea, the earth will certainly end some day. Best case it will last about 8 seconds longer than the sun

There is more to life than guitar man. I get joy from it to but it's mostly just a means to get by. A job. Big deal.

No, the Lord has promised us that the earth will endure forever. You don't have those promises so you look to the efforts of your own hands to provide a future. All the efforts of mankind have been in vain.
