my sister flew in from nevada city CA and my brother from west bloomfield hills MI and after dinner we were all standing outside in shorts and slippers and just basking in the 73 degree tradewinds at 8:00 at night

we hiked to manoa falls this afternoon
this place heals my soul

I walked to my mail box and was hit by high winds and hail...

i walked out of my house this morning in board shorts so i could bodysurf sandy's immediately following my portuguese sausage and macadamia nut pancakes with coconut syrup

then i went to brother zach's house and videotaped him playing the atomica, and got to play it as well-
killer amp and zach is drilling the vh tone with his monster rig!
his super reverb sounded awesome with the ethos pedal as well.

went to sam choi restaurant for dinner and had kalua quesedillas and got to order a beer with my late dad's personalized mug, which patrons pay for once and then store there, and can receive discounted refills with every visit

my trip was so short but happy!

my brother lived in arkansas for a while and learned how to make his own psuedo kalua pig on the road
one pork butt, rub hawaiian rock salt, add liquid smoke, crock pot low/medium 10 hours, drain excess juice and put in container in fridge, continue cooking meat 2 hours and add shredded cabbage if desired
when fat cools and coagulates skim fat, pour juice back on meat and voila
meat should fall off the bone
pull/shred meat and you are mr instant luau
