When I saw them cliff williams and malcom were always playing in the back until the chorus came they ran up to the mics and the whole thing exploded. Pretty much it is angus doing what he does best. And Bon or Brian.
And yes.... I saw Angus bare ass cheeks!! Haha
Trade Mark solo drops his shorts. Fucking hillarious!!

Bon was so cool up there too.. total natural. Amazing tone. Was this before the Schaeffer wireless unit boost era? Either way he didn't need a pedal to sound great. .... don't say it! Don't you dare!! ...... F I N G E R S

@ Techdeth... Marshall never stopped making 1959 Superleads... when the JMP master volume amps came out they were just added to the lineup. They made 1959's well into the JCM800 lines.

I never knew this about the UK Marshall cab grillcoths and I even have the Big Book of Marshall. Learn something new every day........

I guess in the UK Marshall cabs were the black cane grills I found this out there in the aether....

Salt and pepper basket weave was there from 1968-1970, 1971-1975 was large checkerboard, 1976 to 1979 was small check for USA models, black face for UK and from 1980 all were black face. Give or take a year at each stage.

Also, the brown cloth seen in early 80's is faded black, there were no brown grilles used at that time apart from club and country combos which were also covered in chocolate tolex if I recall. It did fade almost instantly so you have guys who say it was brown when they bought it, but definitely faded black.

Yes, uk cabs are black from about 76/77 or so.
I'm glad you corrected yourself. Yes, in Europe (I'm in Belgium) black grill cloths were introduced sooner. I had a 1978 cab that had a black one.
Also, the black ones that faded very rapidly were in 1985 and 1986 only. They used other material in those years. I bought one new in 1986 and when I look at pics over the years you can see it in fading stages..

This is the version that ended up on If You Want Blood

This is AC/DC at their all time best. By 1978 and 1979 they were just a perfectly dialed in machine with Bon. As I said before Powerage is my favorite AC/DC record and Highway To Hell was one heck of a follow up. They were one of my most favorite bands and there was a period in my teens where I probably listened to AC/DC more than any other band. I was 17 when Back In Black came out and I LOVED it, but sadly AC/DC never put out another great record after that. I never bought another one of their records after BIB but did hear them. I was SOOOOOOOOOOOO bummed when For Those About To Rock came out and I heard that turd for the first time. They have had some good songs here and there since then. It also sucked to seeing the Back In Black tour and they only played three songs off the record. The rest was Brian Johnson mangling Bon Scott songs.

Being young. Bought Powerage new with grass cutting money. When I heard first heard ‘what’s next to the moon’. Listened to how dark the song was. The eerie opening reverse A chord.
Blew me away. My favorite song that ‘tape’ haha

I love the back up vocals doing the verse too . Bad ass
