Interestingly enough, you can get an Ax-FX II XL+ B-stock from Fractal right now for $1899. They say they are minor blems or scratches only and don't effect operation. Seems like a pretty good deal...

I thought I satisfied my curiosity of the "end game" modelers by having a Kemper, but I so badly want to also have an Axe FX II or II XL just to shut my brain up.

I have an original Axe II that I bought really soon after it's release. I had an Ultra several years before that, various Line 6 before that. Although thanks to Suhr Reactive Load, I've been back into loving amps more the last 3 months than ever, I couldn't see ever going without the Axe. I firmware update periodically but haven't given any thought to it going EOL. I wouldn't be angry if it did. Although not exactly the same, I look at it in the same context of something like Mesa going Mark IV to Mark V.

So I agree it's been a helluva run. And I didn't even mention all the flexibility it has in combining with the Suhr Reactive Load and my amp? Simply Amazing.

I wish I could go into the AX8 and delete the 8,589 amp sims, cabs I don't use so I could that memory to other use, if possible.

Yeah, kind of a good and a bad thing. Great to have all the amps but most you probably don't use. There are amps in the box I never use like the Bad Cat, Cornford, Orange, etc. amp sims. Guaranteed though there are thousands of folks who use those specific amps.
