I'm sure this is a topic that's been beaten to death, but wondering how well the Axe FX standard or Ultra does in the 4CM. I know the II does real well if you use those humbuster cables, will the originals work fine as well?

I tried with the standard and it was a disaster. I even tried with the II with the humbuster and didn't like it. The new Axe-Fx XL and the FX8 are the one's the supposedly have it all straightened out.

I have an Axe FX II mark I and I use it in 4cm with my JVM head all the time with regular cables,........no problem

This is the truth. Axe II mark 1 didn't work with CCV or VH4 I was using at the time. No cables or magic could fix that tone suck and noise without a bandwidth mod done to the axe.
