I want Cliff to have the success with this, not them.

I am of the opinion that it's inevitable. Not that Cliff isn't successful already but I believe he's onto something seriously innovative and practical; has amazing ears, a thorough understanding of the circuits, multitude of variables and interactions that occur from the amp input to what ends up on disc, and will be rewarded for his talents, expertise and hard work.

I guess one of my worries is that a big company like Line 6 snaps him up, and one of two things happen:

1) they basically pay him to improve what they are working on, and stuff like the axe-fx that is truly innovative goes by the wayside

2) they totally cheapen/bastardize his modelling concepts - think of an axe-fx but made in china, radio-shack 741 op amps instead of burr browns or whatever he's using now, etc.

What would be cool is if he could license the tech to someone and then still stay independent - consumers could pay much less for a product that was mass marketed, and he could still do his boutiquey stuff. :)

Damn Ed! Great sounding stuff.

You know, there's something about that guitar. I called it super punchy in the other thread and that's part of it but there's just some kind of awesome boom and projection of the notes going on with it that I'm hearing in all of the vids and this clip. You have a special one there man. Do you have any other Rahbeks?

The Flexi clips of yours I've heard sound great too. So clear in it's distortion. I'm hoping that once I get the coin for an Ultra that I can get something of a similar nature to the Flexi characteristics I'm talking about out of it. Or maybe I'll just sell my Twin and Mark IV to buy a Flexi.

Your stance reminds me of Michael Schenkers minus the V...I think you need to bust out a Vee with the Country band...

I actually came across a V last week I almost bought but it had a glued headstock and the guy wanted 600 bucks and I wasn't going over 400.

...Added “Thump” modeling to power amp simulation...

SWEET! Now everyone can play the halfassed pentatonic wankery I'm known for!
I was going to say, you have been immortalized by Fractal Audio systems... How cool is that? But it wont be for halfassed pentatoniuc wankery, thats when they introduce "Carly" modelling with timing issues...
