Axe FX EVH tone test

In spit of the thread on the 11 rack doing some evh tone clips i thought i would post my own sloppy EVH tone/playing with the axe-fx i havent messed with it much but hey let me know if you think its worse and if you can hear the 01010101....
Using my strat with a Suhr DSH

I like the clip... something is missing though... I like the tone but its not so EVH...

How do you like the AXE, how do you think it compares to the real boutique amps out there?

I do love the axe I have only had it for a week so i have alot of tweaking to do and ive owned plenty of hi-gainer 100 watt heads i sold and traded alot in the past couple of years, but my band just split so bedroom playing has become the only time i play, there is nothing better if your a stay at home or studio guitarist running it through a good preamp makes a difference as well, we run a nieve at the studio and it adds that something
 
Sounds pretty cool on it's own. A LOT better than that 11r clip. Still though, as far a EVH clips go i haven't heard the Axe-Fx come close to amps for getting that Eddie Brown sound. I've tried with the Axe to get an old EVH tone but i haven't gotten it yet, need more tweaking, I'm doing much better with my Fortin.

Im very confidient i can do alot better than this clip i setup this patch in 5 minutes what isnt helping is mixing it on 40$ headphones as soon as i get a pair oif adam A7''s i should be able to get closer.

I don't think that's close at all, but doesn't sound bad. I think to get the Eddie Brown tone you need to mic up some Greenbacks or similiar speaker. I have some M75's that I'll try to get an Axe brown patch with.
