AXE FX Guys......looking to start building my rig, some help

So for the Ernie Ball Jr. Pedals, will i need a certain type of 1/4" cable? or will the George L's I made last year be sufficient?

For these pedals you will need "insert" cables.
Two mono 1/4" to a single Stereo 1/4"
Same for Boss FV500 or any standard volume pedal.
