well, due to a series of unfortunate events, I had to downgrade for awhile. Totalled my car and with only liability insurance it wasn't covered. I make about 65k a year and have lived with the motto" I only need $1k buffer in the bank for emergency purposes." (meaning I spend alot of money) Well, I found out really quickly I need to change my ways. I decided to stop with the "throw away" cars and caved in and went to a real dealership. Im 29 yrs old, never had a credit card and was a co-signer on a house that was forclosed on. Can you guess how much I had to put down and the rate I was given.... Had to come up with $5k quick which brings me to the point of this. Contacted Brad from KG and was able to trade him the axe fx II for and evh 5150III and matching cab plus he gave me $600 cash. I then returned the adams to gc and traded in my most beloved Wolfgang but was able to quickly put together the money and am now driving a beautiful fully loaded grand cherokee limited with a HEMI!
Anyways, really happy to be back to tubes :D but I do miss the convenience of recording my ideas directly to the macbook.

sounds like a really rough existence dude

You can get a little Vox modeller for a song. If the riffs And songs suck, it's most likely due to themselves :)

Reading car forums sometimes makes me think music gear forums aren't so bad comparatively.

Never thought I would have a response like that in a thread with Axe-Fx II in the thread title...lol.

sorry dudes, I guess my point is Brad is the man and helped me out... love the 5150 III

Heck, I'd love to be able to get a 5153. They have everything I want on paper. Nice cleans, rock n roll, and Testament on ch.3 :) I'm glad everything worked itself out for ya, man :)

Complains about money troubles and having to off a 2k piece of hear... then boasts about his new half stack and brand new vehicle...

....have I been trolled?

lol, Im sorry guys... I didn't mean to come off as um...a douche if thats the perceived notion lol. Its not a halfstack fwiw. Its the 50 watter

You've got nothing to apologize for.
It's all good. Welcome to Rig Talk.

I try to keep at least 6 months living expenses in the bank to cover emergencies - and that wasn't enough when the furnace went. Just saying now while you have the extra income you might want to build up a nice fund. And of course congrats on the new bad ass rig!!!!

Lots of guys here with more money than I have to spend on gear posting new guitars and amps all the time. I hate all of them.

Several topics that are bad juju here on Rig Talk.....

Money
Religion
CCV
Kirk Hammett
Price of a new SLO
Modding your Marshall
Relic'd guitars
Axe FX

I feel for you, that's a big step backwards from an Axe II to a 5153!

Yeah. I would have kept the Axe and drove a used Ford Fiesta....

Good luck with the new Jeep. I bought the same thing last year. FWIW it's a pretty good gigging vehicle. It's a finely tuned game of Tetris but I fit the following in mine:
2 JBL PRX618XLF subs
2 JBL 615 mains
1 Avatar OS 2X12 cab
1 Carvin PM12 monitor
1 Pedaltrain PT-2 in bag
2 Guitar cases
1 Bogner Ecstasy

Great vehicle!!! Tows better then my old Dodge Ram too...
