AXE-FX II V3 Firmware....Wow!

Anyone else play this version yet? 1000000% realer Cliff straight up knocked it out of the park with this one Very glad that I decided to keep my AXE II....

I believe that Cliff modeled one of the newer CCV's, which I have not yet played. Mine is an older CCV, so I can only tell you that it's in the ballpark with my older one(which is not the amp that he modeled). So I have no idea how it compares to the new CCV.

I actually really liked the CCV Model in the V2 firmware with the saturation switch on. The CCV in V3 Firmware sounds great, but has a little less gain to my ear.

I just upgraded to v3.0 last night and I agree. Its mind blowing the improvement in just one upgrade.

Now I am regretting not keeping mine. Prices were crazy on eBay when I sold though-couldn't pass up the profit. I'll own another one after used prices start to drop. Great to hear it is improving

The Ultra gets no more updates although Cliff did say it is possible that the Ultra/Standard could get a couple more amp models.

This 3.0 update is crazy good. Cliff continues to set the bar.

You won't lose your presets, but they will certainly sound different. The V3 firmware is like a whole new machine.

And just wait until version 4, when it's even betterer than this version, which is betterer than the previous version, which was betterer than the first version, which was better than the AxeFXI version 11, which was betterer than previous version, which was betterer than all the versions before it.

I'm curious, with all these versions that are so much betterer than the previous ones, which version(s) of the AxeFX was garbage?

The Cameron CCV amp model is MUCH better now. The CCV model in patch 2.0 and early sounded nothing like a CCV, but the 3.0 patch CCV model sound very good. Definitely has the cameron tone now, but the AxeFX2 is still lacking on the warmth and feel...but close.

You won't lose your presets, but they will certainly sound different. The V3 firmware is like a whole new machine.

The first Cameron CCV attempts were just based on a schematic we sent Cliff. For this version we sent him an actual CCV head which explains why it is worlds better. Cliff is really good at what he does thats for sure. I have an Axe 2 on the way as well for recording.
