The electronics are made in USA from globally sourced parts. Our sell price is lower than what most manufacturers would charge given our BOM cost. Since we sell direct, the mark-up is lower.

The Axe , rt2/50 and Cab is about the same cost wise as my 20th A XTC head and matching cab.... With way more options.

As for Apple being expensive.... Software updates every year or so for $29.99 is a lot better than upgrades of window versions. And if a pc was as good or lasted as long as my MacBook Pro.... 4 years with me and 2 teenage kids using it and running like new. 20 seconds from power button to up and running. The one time i did call Apple tech it was in California and i could understand the guys, not India. But hey I'm not trying to sell anyone on Apple or Fractal.... It's a choice and not for everyone I just don't see the price bitching side of it.

Thanks for weighing in and clearing the air on that!

I'm starting to gravitate towards USA assembled electronics, which is why I'm also looking into things like a Metric Halo recording interface. They just feel so much more heavy duty than the asian imported stuff.

Have you tried using the AxeFX THROUGH the Bogner?? ;)

I have. It's massive. If Bogner came out with a power amp that had the feel of the xtc head I would buy it. For now my RT 2/50 is the closest and I have tried the VHT 2/90/2, art sl2 and a few others.

this is my live setup :

I use a diezel VH4 or a 70's marshall through a bogner 4x12 at home...

I honestly loved my Standard...rocked it for three years (plus or minus)...if you have volume constraints, there's nothing better (IMO).

This is version 9 (or something close...)

Pick up a used Standard for a grand, or so.....I don't imagine you'd regret it

I still have my Diezels, Mak4, Bogner 20thA though... And that's because nuthin' beats these heads and their cabs when the MV goes past noon.

I'm lucky to have both worlds.

+1. I have the 11R unit, It's okay but cannot stand up to the dynamics and punch you get out of a loud amp either live or in a recording situation. I'm now recording with an palmer cab and a Folkesson MK V and I think it's a word of difference. Digital as good as the real thing? I say, forget it :aww: .
