Yes but the real mic'd cab will sound better IMHO.mniel8195":3olebnxv said:I don't own an axe fx anymore. What I'm wondering is it as easy as placing an amp and cab block?

And version 11 will be a livinger, breathering, tube amp then!!!BYTOR":21tq2mf0 said:Easy as pie now. I've been floored by the VH tones I've been getting.
Cliff actually has this thing sounding like a living breathing tube amp now!!! The drive pedals are much better as well...
Somebody put it this way. "Think more of the lines of your favorite 1964 super reverb cooking at 8 on the volume. THEN, you buy some 1959 RCA 6l6 Blackplate power tubes. Suddenly the amp is just that much better. Was it bad before? Did it sound fake before? I will give the fan boys that this update actually sounds like one to be excited about. But we'll see how real it is when it gets realer in future releases. This is the way of the AxeFX.![]()
So a tube change is the difference in v9 and v10?zentman":1z9egmne said:Somebody put it this way. "Think more of the lines of your favorite 1964 super reverb cooking at 8 on the volume. That certainly seems to be the prevailing rhetoric for several versions now.zentman":1z9egmne said:I do get what you're saying though. The gushers will gush no matter what. I could always get great tones from it but now it's just a lot easier and a little bit betterer.![]()

Sure. The analogy was that a 1959 RCA 6l6 Blackplate made a super reverb sound better, not that it sounded bad before. The analogue....V10 sounds better, not that V9 sounded bad before. Therefore, a tube change is the difference in v9 and v10.zentman":3sn9q2b8 said:Some folks don't get what educated people refer to as "analogies".![]()

Cliff also said the AxeII, way back with v1, was able to replicate amps 100%. 100% was his quote. Yet, here we are.zentman":2fd54gnv said:Can't dispute the whole "gets betterer every version" thing people post though. It actually does but people go overboard. Fractal has pretty much stated they can't take it much further though so they will now concentrate on other aspects.
