Just for the record, Im not Mario. Below is the email I received from him yesterday.

After 10+ years of providing high quality guitar audio and MIDI switching products at reasonable prices, Axess Electronics will cease all manufacturing and production - effective immediately.

This decision is bittersweet, but in recent years it has become impossible for me to manage all aspects of the business while trying to balance my personal/family life. I have thoroughly enjoyed trying to provide the best products and the best support to world-wide bedroom bashers, weekend warriors and renowned professional guitarists, but it is time to focus on my family and myself.

What's next?

(1) Axess Electronics and all its product designs are up for sale, and will be for a period of at least one month while prospective offers come in...

(2) I will seek full-time employment, preferably in the MI industry, and/or I will try to continue running Axess Electronics as a product design and development company providing design services under contract to other companies/individuals.

Serious enquiries/offers regarding either of the above can be initiated by sending me an email at offers@axess-electronics.com

(3) Support and repair/service will continue, free of charge, as per the current Product Warranty for all products purchased directly from Axess Electronics in 2009 (applies only to the original owner).

(4) Support and repair/service for products purchased prior to 2009 will be subject to the following fees - $60cad/hr (billed in 15 minute increments) and $75cad/hr (billed hourly) for on-site support.

Support requests can be initiated by sending an email to support@axess-electronics.com

(5) A website with historical/reference product information (i.e. features, pictures, user manuals, software...) will be up as soon as possible.

I would like to thank all of the guitarists, industry insiders, musicians and touring techs I have met, dealt with and/or befriended over the years for making Axess Electronics what it is, and for all the kind words, product praise and public support - it was a GREAT ride!

Sincerely,

Mario Marino

Bummer, Axess makes great stuff, I wish Mario all the best as this must be a tough decision.

Hi Mario,

I immensely enjoyed the products I bought from you. Fantastic value, and your support has been the best in the business.
Sad to see your company go, but the end of something is the start of something new.

Best of luck.

That blows. I think A-E made great products at a very reasonable price.

I agree ..... kind of sucks.

Good luck out there .... what ever you do.

ok then, Ron Menelli, its time to make the super midi pedal!

I am sorry to hear that Mario. You made top notch products and were always patient with your customers. (at least me!)
Good luck to you. :salute:

While that does suck, it's refreshing to see somebody handling it like a true pro - continuing the support, putting up the reference website, etc. Much respect...

I am sad to hear this but wish you well and good luck in the future. I have enjoyed your high quality products for many years at affordable prices.
Thanks and good luck to you!
Jason

No doubt about that. Actually, Mario and Ron should be talking, because I can't think of a better guy to continue making Mario's designs that Ron. Since Ron already makes great switching & looping products, I don't believe he needs to keep the GRX4 and CFX4. However, Ron has no awesome pedal or stand alone buffer, so he should definitely continue on with the FX1 and the BS2.

Sorry to hear this , but I firmly adhere to "family first" business second, as Mario is doing.Youve got a BIG heart my friend..Ive had nothing but huge success with all your midi switchers and products that youve made for me! Best wishes for your future, and I hope that Axess will continue on in some way, shape or form!

Best of luck to you Mario, you made some amazing products!

Best wishes
Trace

Very sad but inevitable really. Mario made the best, most reliable products but as a businessman I really don't think he got it. He discontinued products before he had built their replacements and when he suffered parts delays people got fed up and went elsewhere. I used to own a CFX-4 and Mario could not have been more helpful when I was setting it up with my XTC - such a great guy, if only he had got someone else to run the business so to speak so he could focus on what he does best - making the best affordable music products. I wish him all the best.

I have an Axess MFC5 midi footcontroller up for sale-$190 shipped CONUS only, and a CFX4-$150 shipped CONUS only.if anyone is interested. They are both in great shape. They are my backups and have been barely used. PM me if interested.

Thanks,
JC
