Axl declines induction into Rock Hall of Fame

And I also have to say that Axl's stance is indeed very r'n'r, but the letter takes the punk edge away from his position :lol: :LOL:

Whatever - it's all a has been. I still love listening to G'n'R but that was with yesteryears' lineup. It's a has been. Onwards and upwards.

ADD one more : ADLER. Yeah he is either a fumbling stumbling drunk now or he is sober and just a loud mouth. Can't blame the guy for wanting to feel the spotlight a bit one more time after he pretty much blew it for himself in the 80's with drugs and booze. Matt Sorum was good but he was too polished in my opinion. A large part of what made AFD what it was, was Adler's raw drumming. He did a great job. Nothing fancy, but it just fits and he plays with a certain tempo and feel that makes that first album what it is. I remember Slash also mentioning this somewhere. Give credit where it is due and Axl should at the very least have thrown his old pal a bone and just accepted the induction. Where's the humanity lol.. ;)

I'm in 100% agreement here, I LOVE the drumming on AFD. Sorum is fine but they definitely lost an edge when Adler left. AFD is still on regular rotation for me, neither of the use your illusion albums are although they are very good.

I don't like Axl at all, but he has the right to turn down a gig with people he doesn't care to be around. HoF is a farce, let's not pretend he just insulted the Queen of England
 
Well Slash will be there to accept, which Im glad for them. Wonder if they can just sub in Scott Weiland. I mean Velvet Revolver is more GnR then Axl Rose and his backing band are these days

Totally agree, man.

Rush not in the HOF makes its membership less meaningful. Lifeson was not my favorite guitar player (rhythms=awesome, leads=not so much), but the band definitely influenced a LOT of musicians over their 5 decades of making music.

AFD is one of my favorite albums. :rock: GNR Lies was pretty cool too (dug the acoustic stuff). :thumbsup: I think they lost it in the 90's though.

Does GNR deserve to be in the HOF? I could go either way.

Does Rush deserve to be in the HOF? Hell yes.
 
The RRHOF has ZERO credibility. There's absolutely no honor in being inducted IMO...its a complete f'in joke.

Could not agree more. I really cannot stand the guy... but this move actually counts as a BIG PLUS for him. I hate the RRHOF with the white hot passion of a thousand suns. :doh:

Rush's lack of induction is more than any other the reason I HATE the RRHOF. I guess I don't have words to describe my true disdain for the RRHOF and Rolling Stone "our idiotic club is better than yours" morons. They aren't even fit to be crabs in Charlie Manson's pubes...
