Man, is it just me or have there been an influx of bitchy, quarrelsome brats and seemingly juvenile trolls around here lately? Defending your opinion and making a point is one thing but it's getting a little tense around here. :lol: :LOL:

The funny part is, I bet if we all met each other in person at the bar, or an amp-fest or wherever, we would probably all get along well and have a lot to talk about. It's strange how we tend to act like hot shit or maybe we take things in the wrong context when we're sitting behind the computer screen. Makes some people act a lot differently than they would in public. Or maybe not. Maybe some people are just over-sensitive and disparaging? :confused:
 
This place has been much more friendly than almost every other music forum I've ever been on. :confused:

+1 for Bitch Talk. I can't really speak for everyone else but I've been on the rag a little bit lately. Might be the weather or something :confused: There has been a couple trollings lately too that probably pissed people off :lol: :LOL:

:lol: :LOL: You better shape up man! Nah, I'm just venting. Just seems to be a lot more whining about stupid shit and fighting over lame stuff than usual. Maybe I'm just noticing the small stuff more than I normally do. I should visit some other forums and then come back here. I'll probably realize that it's pretty well behaved here compared to most others.

I think I've been a little edgy lately too. I'm just so sick of people arguing over what's better, this or that amp or guitar or pickup...If more of us would just shutup and play we'd forget real quick about the small details. And you know what? Every time I find myself getting too caught up in gear wars, I try to go play in front of an audience and my backline becomes a whole lot less important than my guitar playing. A couple beers and some stage time will clear up any case of "bitch-talk". :lol: :LOL: It's just funny to me how heated some arguments can get over the dumbest details. Most of the stuff we argue about is so minute it's just ridiculous. But I guess that's the name of the game, being a gear forum and all...did I mention I'm drunk right now? :lol: :LOL: :D :doh:

That being said, I have been around here for a long time and this place is calm compared to just about every other forum. Maybe that is changing though... :confused:

I believe the main thing is that it is impossible to hear the tone of how someone is saying something through text, which can make a WORLD of difference how the context of someones opinion/statement is taken and understood.
