Back To The Future Van Halen Scene

all they wanted to do was get away from the guy. Being famous has its drawbacks.
 
That's pretty funny it really was him. I loved that movie when it came out.
 
Wait, there was a doubt about this? I thought this was known for years? From what I read years ago they wanted to use a VH song but the whole band wouldn't sign off on it however Ed liked the idea so he gave them some solo stuff he had around to use. Thus why the tape says Edward real small over Van Halen and not just Van Halen.

Yes I'm a big fan of the BTTF movies. :lol: :LOL:

I could always tell it was real EVH, especially when you hear the drums mixed in there. I just thought they sampled some live solo or something.
 
I don't know why this is being considered a reveal. It was never really disputed. EVH has talked about this a few times, and even back when the movie came out, I remember hearing about how it was a montage of guitar noise he did. . .ended up in The Wild Life as well.

Pretty dated movie but I still watch it from time to time. I believe it was a Cameron Crowe movie too. It's a fun watch with all of Eddie's music in the background.
 
Wasn't he doing porn music a while ago? How is this even news?
 
If I remember correctly, Michael J Fox was really into playing guitar and not half bad. He said on several occasions how much of a HUGE EVH fan that he was.

He was quite good. Shame about his MS. I always liked him.
 
i still love those movies, and watch them on occasion. i remember going to the drive in to see one of them when i was a kid...i think the 2nd. classics!

Just for the record, Fox has Parkinson's Disease NOT MS.
 
This was probably a calculated story to keep the VH PR machine going.

Love that clip though -- wished it had gone on longer.
