I taped that show when MTV 1st aired it before they got 'big'...
we used to watch it every day in High school! :rock:
 
I remember watching that and you could just feel that the band was going to explode and take over the world. Nightrain still gives me chills everytime I hear it. Such a great song.

YES! Amazing show! Last time I watched that concert, I was in a girl's basement, hoping to, well, you know. Anyway, not much happened but I didn't care because I was having such a great time watching G n' R!

Same here. In fact, my brother and I hooked our tape cassette player to the VCR and dubbed it to tape so we could listen to it in the car.

Correct me if I am wrong but I believe this was the same night as this Great White show (in fact, I believe Great White was the headliner). I think they showed these back to back.

 
Yeah...we used to skip highschool.....run the VCR thru the home stereo....and rock this concert out! :lol: :LOL:
This was the same year that I recorded Scorpions World Wide LIve....Maiden Live after death....and White Lion in Concert.
MTV used to play MUSIC! .......GOOD MUSIC! :D
 
I remember they broadcast that on one of the canadian music networks. It was edited for the swear words but that show stands the test of time. Awesome performance. Adler's drumming is super tight in this as well I always thought. I remember that year because some bitch took my bus pass and my mom made me go to her house and talk to her mom to get it back. Grade 7 I think it was..
 
Wow, thanks for posting. It's been yrs since I heard that show. I love how raw they sound. To me that's rock n roll, not making sure every little note is perfect and polished and rehearsed. Just a great show from beginning to end.
 
that concert and footage launched me on this road as well.

I have a close friend who WAS AT THAT SHOW!
I saw the infamous first show with Metallica and Faith No More when Axl waited until half the 65k fans had left to start their part of the show. It was worth the wait.
 
I was at the show right after this when they joined the Aerosmith Pump tour and opened for Aerosmith at Great Woods outside of Boston. They killed it on their opening night on the tour. Best show I have ever seen.
