Didn't like it. Deal with it. I hate that hashy treble. Sounds like a wah is on in the full treble position

Killer playing, great tones, cool guitar and amp!

Don't get me wrong: I'm sure it's a nice amp. I just really didn't like the way it was dialed in (and I've got a Cali Mod on the way, so it's not that I don't like Marshall-esque amps). The playing was also nothing special.

I concur the flanger negatively affects the tone but clearly Pete is having a blast and it's an ode to some guy from CA who has an iconic set of fx and tones.

Al Estrada is a great player. He sounds pretty good in this video, but he can play a hell of a lot better than this and can totally nail classic VH tone. Check out his VH performances on You Tube!!!

I know the guy is doing the whole Van Halen thing in the first video, but I find it kind of pointless to make an amp demo video that has an overbearing effect like a phaser or wah running the entire time. They tend to come off more as a demo for the effect than the amp. IMHO, the only acceptable effects to use in an amp demo video are delay and/or reverb (as long as they are not too prominent).

The video I posted just has great sounding, pure organic tone.
