That is what I do now and it works ok. I do not want to use the effects loop and there is no other way to get a lead boost. Plus the unleash may allow me to push the amp at lower volumes. It is not like a BE-100, it needs some volume to sound good.
I wanted to be able to run the amp at volumes over .75 so I thought the Unleash would kill 2 birds with one stone. A solo boost and attenuation. However I figured a different way around it that is working pretty good, good enough to try at a gig this Saturday:
I have a Seymour Duncan Pickup booster in the loop and that is working great for a solo boost. I did figure out what the Pink Taco needed (at least mine) to really sound as good as the BE and that is a Boss EQ in the loop. I can adjust for different speakers and I can turn the volume down some which allows me to turn the amp volume up some. Problem solved.
