baffle board material?

what should i use? it's a custom cab that i am finally getting around to making. imagine an old 70's hiwatt molested a port city and you will get the idea. i'm using 3/4 mdf on the cab and was wondering if i should just use it for the baffles as well. it will be completely sealed and ported with internal deflectors as well.

5/8" marine grade Baltic birch. I'd recommend using this for the whole cab.
