Barber Dirty Bomb

I might just be in the honeymoon phase, but this is it.

This is EXACTLY that for which I've been looking. It sounds like an AMP.....a fucking sick amp.

What I normally don't love about other pedals

Rat/rat clones --> very touchy filter control = too dark OR too fizzy
Tubescreamer/TS clones --> that clicky parallel clean tone that is too apparent in my ears + the mid bump. Doesn't sound anything like an amp IMO.
Boss DS-1/DS-2/BD2/OD2/OD3 --> not quite as natural sounding as I like. They all kind of have that artificial Satriani sound. It works for some stuff, but very unnatural to my ears.
Muff --> fuzzy and finnicky unless you spend $500 for whatever Gilmour was using on Pulse/Division Bell.
Pork Loin --> sounds a bit too much tubescreamer-esque to me
Fat Sandwich --> actually, pretty badass. IMO, this is how Big Muffs should sound.


I don't want to badtalk other pedals, but the Barber Dirty Bomb has changed how I feel about dirt pedals forever.

I actually liked that and I am real picky when it comes to Distortion boxes!
They usually sound like crap and nothing like an amp IMHO but I agree that the Barber does sound good!

With that said, I also like the Blackstar boxes. Check it
