the cold sweat is far from low output and it's bright as fuck
nothing like a neck pickup
it reminds me of a duncan sh-5, but crunchier, clearer and less spikey
I think this thing is wax potted with Dimebag Darrell AND John Sykes DNA samples
sad thing is that it can't play itself

If anything, Tims neck pickups sound more like a bridge pickup.

This is more likely - in my experience his neck pickups are so much less muddy than most neck pickups that they sound closer to a bridge pickup than most others do. They still have the character of a neck pickup but with the cut of a bridge pickup.
Cant say I've ever heard of the bridge pickups sounding like neck pickups :(

And Robotechnology, I have a Crawler bridge pickup and its lovely - very versatile, with a lovely mid-range growl.
That's how I feel. The BK neck pickups have great harmonics also. Well said.

What do you think of the Crawler pups? I have a set but haven't installed them in anything. Thanks!

I only have the Crawler bridge pup.
It sounds like a great neck pup.

Seriously, it's like a hotter-- but not crazy hot-- PAF. A bit pumped in the mids and sweeter on the high end. Think of a PAF on steroids or blood doping?

In my R68 LP Custom into my Soldano SLO I can get great bluesy tones up to Whitesnake Dough Adlrich type tones. It reminds me of the Duncan Custom Custom but with richer harmonics and a tighter low end, good for chugging 5ths. A much better pup IMHO. I tried the Custom Custom to sweeten or attenuate the high end of the guitar but the low end was flabby and ill defined.

I have a Holydiver bridge pickup in my Wayne and it doesn't sound like a neck pickup, Thank God

my PK's rock in my LP...they destroy the shitty stock '57's.

That's the first time I've ever heard 57's referred to as "shitty". Those are great all round pickups IMO.

57 classics are top notch low-medium output humbuckers. They have beat out plenty of boutique HBs in my guitars.

Just got my Holy Diver neck pickup. Sounds more full than some other guitars' bridge pickups. These pickups are sweet! Definetly a boutique buy, but Ive played guitars that are going for a sound, and use both pickups and guitar construction to get it. I got the same sound from this pickup. Mixing it with a 81 and I get a more open vintage metal tone with modern edge and power. And cleans are superior to the real thing. Pleasant sounding Harmonics and overtones are flying everywhere. Just have to adjust my amp now to figure out the little things.
Dont know if Id switch out my bridge. 81 is just a modern classic and it works well in this situation.
