I tried a a few BK pups. Instantly my penis gained 2"* in length and my g/f's cup size increased a whole letter.

I love the Rebel Yells in my LP, especially in a recorded mix or live. I have Crawler in an LP
and it's very nice. Cold Sweat and Black Dog were too bright for my tastes and amp. I tried
a few others too. Certainly good pups and no doubt you can find one to like and dislike.
The darn conversion rate with the British pound doesn't help things.

*Yes, yes, it's now 5"

Yo Jim, freshy this morning on Whistler :D

Just to add to this love/hate thread of BKP's... I was playing through a number of guitars last night - several Lesters, ESPs, Suhr, etc. and the one that STUCK the most and resonated the MOST with my playing last night was the ESP NT-II with ceramic PK's. It just tore a strip off the set - searing hot, ultra percussive and heavy in the lows, tracked super tight, and muted beautifully. Blissful sounds really. FYI, it was driving a Diezel VH4S with a Mk.4:23 Pro upfront and a bit of DD in the loop for thickness. No soft playing, this was a chugga chugga night - and those pups RIP in that guitar.

FWIW.

Peace,
V.

My experience using BKP's:

Pickups I loved:

- Cold Sweat set
- Miracle Man set

Pickups I didn't liked much:

- Nailbomb set (on two different guitars!)

Soon I'll order a Holy Diver set for my Shamray custom guitar.

Overall I've been very happy with my BKP's (much more satisfied than with any other brand I've tried). If you don't like a particular BKP you can exchange it for another one until you find the perfect match. Tim can provide helpful information regarding your purchase and can also do custom orders.

Ya man, I'm stoked... Should be an early start to the season. Amped!! Had to take last year off cuz of the Olympics and the birth of our 2nd daughter, first time off skis in 36 years... This year I'll be back with a vengeance.

And if ya air over those rocks, make sure to throw down a grab too

Will do!

Just took my BKP Painkiller out of my Warmoth Star and put in a Duncan Distortion which is what i sused to use in a RR.

Didnt like the Painkiller that miuch. Love the Duncan in THAT guitar (or any alder's so far)

Not to say the painkiller not a good pup. but wasnt like WOW. The Duncan has such a nice sound for solo's, picked notes. The painkiller is "clear" though (something i dont want too much)

i play classic heavy metal btw

Just my 2 cents
