Dave from Baron Custom Amps has been quite busy churning out a new design that can get aggressive and juicy, but retains great definition. The British Metal (BM) channel has the widest range of gain I have ever played with the twist of a knob from 80's kerrang to saturated like the job market in SoCal

No clipping diodes here folks. This is straight up tubey goodness

I used my Charvel San Dimas USA to keep things familiar :D

Check her out: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/156 ... Thrash.wav

Cheers,

Greg

That is one impressive list of gear on your sig!

Cheers. It only took me about 40 heads to end up with those eight   :)

well...opinions are opinions...Sorry to say but mine is negative.

This clip did nothing for me, and I have heard some seriously amazing tomato farm clips.

I liked the original K2/88 much better than this...Even the snott watt sounded better to my ears...Kind of a let down for me, maybe I need to listen again on a better stereo?

ok the snott watt sounding better....I take that one back lol...maybe it was the uber high tuning that threw me off on this clip idk...

Great tone or not.... Naming an amp the acronym for bowel movement is just not good marketing.

Do you follow that one up with the POS?

Maybe because he expects it to sh*t all over other amps on the market? lol

I would prefer the association to bowel movement than talking about the hairy brown eye it came out of...

Not everyone is going to like every clip I do. It's perfectly understandable.

This is in standard tuning... do people even play in that anymore :scared:

I liked the way it opened up on the higher registers. I'd love to hear this in a mix. Could definitely hear it thrashing away in The Young Rochelles. Was this through your JE's, Mesa Cab and SM-57?

Ya got me on that one.

Now I guess it is time to plug in to the pink taco.

Amp sounds great. I like std tuning or Eb at the lowest.

Sounds good, would sit fantastically in a mix IMO.

The end of that sounded like a Sugar song :)

Bowl movement was the first thing I thought too.

Cheers guys

I am unfamiliar with the band Sugar. Something tells me they were big before I was born (1988)

I just kind of threw the riff together so there would be a nice mix of playing styles and open/palm muted stuff ;)
