Right now the BE and HBE channels are footswitchable and I'd REALLY like to have the amp modded to make the SAT switch footswitchable. I think it can be done but, I wanted to see what you guys think first. Here's my idea: Add a footswitch that engages/disengages the SAT switch. When the SAT switch is engaged it goes through the normal amp layout as it sits today. (Just like if I flipped the switch on the back of the amp) When the SAT switch is disengaged via the footswitch the SAT circuitry gets bypassed an extra volume gets brought into the circuit to turns down the BE/HBE channel. This way you could compensate for the large volume spike that will occur when the SAT switch gets turned off. This should allow for me to balance between the SAT and non-SAT mode.
What do you think? Would this work? Do you think a reputable guitar tech could perform this mod without too much trouble?
Note: I run the amp with the F/X loop engaged so the extra volume would have to be for the F/X loop.
