I have the BE100 and use a koko boost....anyone using a true OD and getting good results.
Hear the maxon 808 works pretty well...any others worth noting?

You are going to get a few possibilities on this one. Are you referring to the simple clean channel or BE channel? That makes a difference.

I meant the BE channel. I currently use the koko boost and wonder if there's another pedal that can give another sound for leads.
The koko may be hard to beat and I may just stick with it....I tried a AM silver 808 and it was OK but nothing great.
I"m curious about the Tone Freak Naked OD, Suhr Shiba, foxrox ZIM and a few others.
I already know the higher gain OD's Abunai, rockbox are too hot for the BE channel...need something with much lower gain.
The koko may be the winner even though it's just a boost and not an OD.

I am ordering a BE-100 this week...I have a Rockett Pedals Blue Note OD and so far, I love it! I'll report back once I test it out with the Friedman!

How about a Aldrich Rocket Fuel pedal?

Timmy or an old Rat both work great (although differently) to take the BE channel to the next level

Love both the EP-3 and the OCD. EP-3 for thicker leads stuff and OCD for rhythm chunk. I have a Foxrox Octron on the way but I think it's been lost in parcel nirvana.

I use a Maxon OD808 with my ME-100 and I think they pair up really well.

I go back and forth between a Koko boost, MK 4.23, and a Timmy. They all sound a little different... just a matter of personal taste.

I A/B'ed a Suhr Koko Boost, OCD Vers 3, and SD-1 extensively. I still have the SD-1

Koko boost is my favourite ... I feel like BE does not need any more saturation, just a clean kick in the balls ...

Having said that, Maxon 808 and Timmy sounded great too.

I've kept my Voodoo Labs Sparkle Drive. It won out over Box of Rock, MI Audio Crunch Box, Keeley Modded SD-1, and Keeley Modded TS9. With the clean blend you can dial in just a little more hair for leads, using a Koko Boost in the loop.

KOT (King of Tone) pedal I tend to like over the Kokoboost and RocketFuel. DS1 is good too but too grindy for me.

Guys you should try an Empress ParaEQ pedal with the BE-100, You would be blown away!!!

Not familiar with these but are you boosting with it as this thread pertains to or just running it in the loop the change the amps eq?

If it is the later I have no interest in changing the tone of my BE 100 as imho it does not need it, darn near perfect the way it is
