My amp does not have a 50w switch so am I able to remove two power tubes to achieve 50w?

If so, which tubes, inner outer etc? And then I assume my impedance would have. Currently it's an 8ohm cab so assume this would have to be set for 4ohm

Finally if I end up with a 4 ohm load, how different does this sound to a 16 ohm cab

Remove the outer 2 tubes. Set for 4 ohm if you have a 8 ohm cab.. It will sound great.

Hey I was thinking about asking Dave if he could do the High-Low voltage switch on my amp too. I'm finally sending my BE100 off in next couple days for the 2016 update and was searching on info about the voltage switch. Also I know it's been reviewed many times but any more info on the 16' updates for the BE like tone comparisons to a non-updated BE would be nice to hear some fresh opinions from owners.

Want to get this right the first time cause sending these amps from KY to CA is a bitch, but from experience well worth it cause Daves dedicated to his work and the tones are always amazing.

I'm with you. I'm in IN and want to have the depth mod and TAD power tubes done on my JJ but can't bring myself to ship the amp back to California.
