Anybody know what this is for when I have to replace tubes?

Thanks

Farthest from the power tubes is the HBE/boost tube. The next is the BE and part of it is clean. Then the cathode follower and then driver tube. Recommended tubes are tungsols in the first 2 slots. Chinese preamp tubes in the next 2 slots and finally jj el34 or e34l tubes. You can buy tested to my spec tubes from Valve Queen. Hope that helps.

Dave,

Will an 12ax7 RFT would be good, or will it make the be 100 sound to different?

RFT's sound great in V1. Much better than JJ's.

Hate jj preamp tubes. Really whatever you like the sound of will work just listen.

Dave,

Is this layout the same for the original Marsha's, #49?

I have simple clean, BE, HBE, Fat, C45, effects loops (push pull switch).

Any difference between the BE100 and the early ones in general?

Just put a Made in England Mullard 12AX7 in the second slot (BE/Clean) - oh it is VERY nice indeed. Amp sings and sears.

Cool,

I'm loving my BE100, but its always worth trying out some tubes - Ive got some TAD's, Tungsol (Inc Gold), JJ's (I wont use these as Dave should know) and some Sovtek's in my spares box.

Anybody tried the Golden Lion Tubes?

I still have a good matched quad of RFT EL34s (Siemens). What do you think Dave, will they do good in the BE100?

Anyone know what the preamp tube layout is for the 5 preamp tube BE100 version? My BE100 is a 2014.
