I bought BE100 #139 roughly two years ago or so. I was wondering if Friedman will upgrade the older versions to the current version, and if so, what the cost would be? I've asked this question numerous times through the tech support email on the website, but I've yet to get a response...so I thought I'd try here.

Thanks!

He's a wicked busy guy. Try calling Tone Merchants.

To answer your question, yes...Dave can upgrade your amp to current specs. I have #0075 and it should be arriving at Tone Merchant next week for Dave to work on. My amp was previously worked on by Dave, and he installed the full clean as well as the two button footswitch capability. I'm having him replace the buzzy transformer this time as well as reduce the white noise I'm getting in the BE/HBE modes. He usually answers my emails, but like the previous poster mentioned, he is extremely busy and I'm sure he doesn't mean to not respond. He mentioned in the last email to me that he'd be able to get to my amp in about a week, which I think is very reasonable.
Have you tried emailing Dave directly, or have you been emailing the address(s) on the website? So far I've been treated well by Dave, and I appreciate how he responds in a kind way to others on this forum....always willing to help.

Don't want to speak for dave, but just call him during business hours at tone merchants. He is the nicest person ever and is always a complete pleasure to speak with.

Nonetheless, i'm sure he'll stop by here shortly and answer whatever you want.

Dave, if you get into this thread, could you PM me the same info and cost? Would love to have #115 brought current if the cost made sense.

Sorry about that some emails slip through the cracks. Depends on what the amps specs are now. Also at the moment I am down to just me at the shop, nothing is getting done real fast.
Might need to wait a bit before I can take it on. To much stuff is sitting around and I need to finish them first.

Does anyone now if the new transformer has a different feel or tonal character than the early production models? My transformer hums but not audibly through the speakers.
