To bring this back to Behringer:
The centaur's manual says that the buffer can restore high freqencies but reduces volume.
This explains the loss of some punch and actualy, a reduced high end, as my signal is not hitting hte amp quite as hard. Odd. I still like the pedal, and the buffer is definitely bearable. The manual also states that the buffer works best after all of the true bypass pedals. Normally I would place a Klon type right after fuzzes and stuff but if you want the buffer to work best, maybe it should be at the end, right before my chorus.
Probably won't permanently stay on the board, but absolutely could!
