so I know there are mutiple threads which have occupied my Sunday afternoon, but just wanted an up to date view on what's the best 2x12 out there

My criteria is that it will be taking a Friedman brown eye so it's used to a 4x12 V30 and GB combo. One thing that doesn't help is I'm UK so things such as Stoneage is hard to source

Options include, Friedman, Bogner and Port City

Thanks in advance

For the millionth time, Bogner OS212 loaded with V30, FTW.

Yep, always been extremely happy with my bogner os 2x12, and 4x12 also.

Orange OS cabs are killer, and should be easy to get where you are. Assuming I have any understanding of geography, that is. The Bogner and Port City cabs are fantastic too. I love the look of the Bogner 2x12, like an old Bluesbreaker.

I like the Orange cabs but I already have an EVH 2x12 and a Mesa Boogie 2x12. I like them both but there may be better options that I am not aware of.

Since you're in the UK, a Zilla Fatboy would be worth looking into as well.

Bogner makes the best cabs money can buy, IHMO. I like Orange cabs too, but they're different, tone wise, than Bogners. Bogners are wider and more open, whereas Orange cabs are tighter and very focused. Both are killer. Bang for the buck, Avatar is very hard to beat. I've got a standard Avatar 2x12 that I've used and abused for about 4 years, now loading it in and out for rehearsals and gigs. It's always delivered.

I'm all about the Avatar cabs, but unless he finds one used, it wouldn't be worth the shipping costs overseas I'd think.

Bingo! I've been looking for awhile too. David Laboga cabs sound sick as well. I was thinking of scoring a mesa 2x12 recto close to me for $425, but not sure i wanna go that route. Had one years and years ago for a short time. Didn't like the muddiness, but sounded great with cleans.

Every clip of the Fatboy sounds excellent to me.

Whatever the manufacturer has matched with the head. My Friedman 2x12 sounds best with his amps and the Suhr 2x12 sounds better with the pt100. I'm done trying to mess around...those cats know what they are doing.

Bogner doesn't make them, someone makes them and supplies Bogner.

Whatever. The cabs that say Bogner on the front are killer, regardless of who, in fact, makes them.

Bogners are great, but I went with a StoneAge 2x12C and I've never regretted selling my 4x12.
