Best algorithms for H9?

Received a demo H9 Core from Sweetwater today. Can't register it yet because someone there must have registered it so I'm waiting on eventide to hopefully clear it.

What are some of the better algorithms to download? I'm not into the wacky, spaced out sounds. I'm more into usable stuff. The Core comes loaded with the H949 and H910. I also don't really need many reverbs.

I use the pitch shifting for VH stuff...the "1984Panama" and "1984legs". These are dead on. Also the "women" delay setting for "women in love". Not sure if these would help you...but they're FUN...the H9 is great.

Question for you guys with an H9...do you use an external midi controller with it to switch between presets, or are you just using the pedal alone?

other than that I just downloaded some delays...I forget what they're called. If you have an ios device you can log on to their servers and try out the algorithms for 5 minutes each...see what you like

I haven't gotten that far yet...just received mine yesterday. I'll probably mainly use it for delays or one of the H910/949 sounds that detune and have a little delay.

Didn't realize the EQ algorithm was free until friday...just grabbed it! I'll probably use my coupon for another delay. I test drove most of the rest and a lot are just crazy sounds I have no use for. I'd probably get another Core to add to my board instead of the full H9 because 75% of the sounds aren't usable to me.

this thing would be the greatest pedal known to man if you could run more than one effect at a time...still amazing. I thought I was going to be disappointed...

Take a look at modechoverb... I think that's the name anyway. Very flexible...
