What is it? My Korg DTR-1000 just DIED for no apparent reason. 'Worked last night. Didn't work today. fuck..

I seen that Wally World sells a Behringer BTR2000 for like $70 bux... It must be the Chinese connection. Shit, it even looks like my Korg. It can't be any worse.

What's doin'?

I seen that mang, but that price is ridiculous. Is it going to tune any better than my clip on tuner? I don't think so.

To be honest with you , i've just been using my Snark clip on tuner and it's so convenient that it's scary. I haven't even used my pitch black or Korg Tuner since I've gotten it and it only cost me about $11   Since you mentioned your clip on tuner, I think that you should just stick with that.

Carl Roa turned me on to the Snark and I haven't looked back. I bought one for each of my guitars on stage and they haven't let me down yet :)

My guitar doesn't have a lot of real estate on the headstock. My clipper doesn't have a lot of grip either. It's crashed on the floor before with the battery and cover scattering all over the place! Plus, I've had problems with loud noise and vibration (bass and drums) affecting the action of the clipper. He guys shut the fuck up so I can tune... :D

I still have my Sabine ST-1000 that I bought for $15 bux back in the mid 90's! It still works, so I can use that for now. It has a 1/4" that I can go in from the amp tuner out.

I had that Behringer rack tuner once.......it was aweful !

I'd just get another Korg. They're pretty accurate and cheap!

While any tuner will "work", Peterson and the Sonic Research are much more accurate. The Peterson 490 rack tuner is one of the best pieces of gear I ever bought.

Peterson Strobo Rack 1/10 cent accuracy
Sonic Turbo Tuner ±.02 cent

Korg DTR 1000 ±1 cent
Boss TU3 ±1 cent

Exactly. While like clip on tuners, they are typically +/- 1 cent like the dtr1000.

Actually, it will. Way, way more accurate.

Get another Korg. i found my DTR-1000 at a pawn shop for $50.00 and it was in Mint Condition with no rack rash.

The Snark rules!! My biggest bitch with the clip on tuner is forgetting to that I don't have to have my guitar volume on when tuning. It's hard habit to break when you are used to stepping on a tuner pedal that mutes your signal.

My thoughts exactly! I have two of these and they are great!

If you are set on getting a Behringer rack tuner, then buy it, but don't be upset with us if it fails on you. It doesn't sound like you value the accuracy and tracking speeds of nicer tuners. I don't even trust the Behringer tuner to meet +/- 1 cents. You may luck out and get a nice reliable Behringer tuner. As you can probably tell, I am not a fan of Behringer products and have been let down by them in the past.

As for your BTW, lets assume that you are correct that no one can hear a 1 cent difference. The range of most tuners is actually 2 cents (+/- 1 Cent). So you could have a bass player using a tuner that is too high by 1 cent and a your tuner may be too low by 1 cent. Sure this is going to be rare, but I have talked to a number of musicians who ended up passing around a common tuner to tune to, since they were hearing differences when they all tuned to their own tuners. I also have seen many reports on the web were people have switched to a turbo tuner or strobostomp and noticed an positive improvement in their tuning and how the whole band sounded. I certainly have noticed an improvement when I use my strobostomp2.

I found it didn't tune well. It was slow. Forget detuned stuff. It wouldn't pick it up or track it if that's the right terminology. My only positive is that It did have rack lights built in.

I'm not set on anything, but you want me to drop 400 on a tuner when at the same time a cheap clip on is fine, but a 70 dollar behringer isn't .

YOu people are gear snobs that look for street cred with the shit you buy, and offer no reasonable proof for your opinions. Most of you wouldn't post in a jam to backup your snobbery..

400 for a tuner... fuck that..

I had the Behringer. It worked ok but every time I looked at it it screamed "cheap ass!, why didn't you just pony up for the Korg? I sold it with the rack and got a Korg hand held for like $30 that works fine.

I don't give a fuck what people think...

10 times out of 10, the hungry kid on a Peavey will smoke the fat dude playing 80's tunes in his room with his $10,000 rack that never moves..
