I am looking for a compressor that would work best with passive humbuckers. I am playing Rock, Country(Pop Americana), and some blues in a cover band.

Thanks in advance!

You're lacking the Carl Martin Compressor. I'm using that one and it's simply perfect!

Not on your list but the MXR custom comp is awesome.

Suhr isn't on the list but a great comp...have a Wampler Ego on my one board but digging the Suhr on my other board I think even more

what are you wanting to achieve by adding a compressor ????

I've heard really good things about the empress compressor

My Suhr and Wampler are both better for me than the Keeley 4 knob I also have. I would say Suhr #1 with Wampler close behind in #2 spot

For cleans and cleans with slight breakup I am wanting a more authentic country/pop tone. The other guitar player in the band plays with single coils. I would like to stick with my Les Paul.

why not do series/parallel wiring?? seems better than colouring your tone with pedals

I have multiple guitars with humbuckers.

A good compressor can be used to sustain notes.

Some pedals, color the tone in a desirable way, ex. Xotic EP Booster.

I have been reading a lot about the Suhr and Wampler. So far, I am most interested in trying these two out.

The mix/blend knob is such a great feature. I will not consider any compressor pedal that does not have one.

The Xotic SP would be a consideration, if I didn't read from multiple sources that they are a little too noisy.
