Ok, switching it up now. What is the best show you have ever been to? Mine hasn't changed since 88/89. Cinderella and AC/DC on the "Blow Up Your Video Tour". Cinderella sounded phenomenal, flipped guitars, nailed solos, etc. Then AC/DC came out and kicked ass too. When Angus came out of the rocket on stage I thought I was going to die of a heart attack.

It's a toss-up between Rush 'Moving Pictures' tour and Black Sabbath 'Heaven and Hell' tour. I would have said Frampton/Kansas/Rick Derringer, but I was puking throughout most of the show; due to a quart of cherry ripple and fat doobie.

Kiss Freedom to Rock tour. Man that was a helluva show!!
Tons of old school songs.
Great tone. Great theatrics.
Really brought me back to my teen years.
Seen tons of concerts. But for me this one stands above them.

Led Zeppelin 1977 at MSG 6th row. Worked at a country club as a bus boy when I was a kid and Zeppelins lawyer was a member and he gave me 2 free ticket to go the last night of a 5 night run. Best show ever. I was at the first night and I told him I was sitting in the Boone docks and he felt bad for me so he gave me 2 of his personal seats for free.

KISS Reunion tour 1996 in Cleveland is up there as well. No cherry ripple, no doobie. :)

I sort-of saw Zeppelin. Four songs in, and it began to rain. Show was cancelled, the crowd jeered, and the local police began cracking heads.

Alter Bridge "The Last Hero" tour... band was so locked in and Myles hasn't missed a note in years. Alice in Chains at The House of Blues in Chitown... laid back, intimate and they sounded massive. Actually had breakfast the next day at same table they were at.. they were walking out as me and my girl were walking in. The Winery Dogs... just watching the best doing what they do best... inspiring.

Honorable mention.. Saw Soulmotor at Summerfest many years back. Loved this bands 1st record.. no one knew who they were. Watched with chest against stage with cups of beer... no crowd at all... I have forgotten alot... but I remember that one. :)

disclaimer... I don't watch shows to judge sound, acoustics, etc.. I go to shows to disappear, tap into the kid that still loves music.. the feel of it all. In my 40's... had some great 'rockstar' moments.. but Im still that kid when I go see my favorite bands live.. I turn my mind off and just enjoy the experience. Cheers

As a kid I remember seeing the Defenders of the Faith tour for Priest. That was some kind of spectacle and it was pretty amazing.

Dream Theatre and Iron Maiden was a phenomenal show. I was literally right in the front row on the bar with my bud and everything was amazing!

The Police in Atlanta, 1983..amazing...Stewart Copeland might be the best drummer to ever pick up a stick, and then you still have the other two guys

Maiden in 2012..Rock Fest near here in Wi. Saw them back in 85 but this more recent show was unreal.

Honorable mention:

Priest '82 Vengeance tour
Winery Dogs '14 in Quad cities..like 80 people tops, super small club
Alter Bridge '13 ..Rock Fest also..spot on perfect
Aerosmith 2002 Chicago...great show

Halloween Night. Maple Leaf Gardens. DLR with Vai and Sheehan.

Saw that show in San Jose , 2nd row . Definitely up there

Iron Maiden - Somewhere Back in Time World Tour in 2008

Bad Religion 2009 ish, Seattle, El Corazon.. Front row on my wifes birthday. Amazing Show.

Dio 1985, Seattle Coloseum with Yngwie in the middle slot and TKO opening. My first non club concert, I was wearing a Celtic Frost denim with still wet oil paint that rubbed against this giants girlfriend, who was wearing white fur. She looked like she was wear ing skinned marmut.

King Diamond 2017? Moore Theater, Seattle, Front row against the stage between The King and Wead....really wanted Andy's side but it was an amazing show.

Kiss Animalize tour, early 1985.

Honorable mentions: Dokken on the Tooth and Nail tour, Metal Church touring for The Dark and Yngwie on the Trilogy tour. I was expecting Mark Boals and about shit my panties when Jeff Scot Soto walked on stage.

King Crimson in '94 at the Greek Theater. I've seen them numerous times, and they're always great.... but that night was MAGIC.

Van Halen "Diver Down" tour September 1982 at the Forum in Inglewood California.

Probably AC/DC with Yngwie opening. Mid-80s. Yes 'in-the-round' in '77-ish is up there too.

Saw Eric Johnson in late-90s in a House of Blues and the guitar tones he had that night were unforgettable. I'll forever be haunted by them, clean and dirty. Seen him other times and it has never been like that night.
