Thought I would take a few to get everyone's, heck anyone's opinions on what the best strap locks set ups are and why. :)

I just use Dimarzio clip locks, sink them and done.

Ive always used the Schaller style. Havent tried anything else to compare. My only complaint with them is how they occasionally losen up. And sometimes the little jack nut falls off and disapears.

 Me too , They even have the separate kits for a few bucks to add the straps to additional guitars..

Dunlop straplocks for me too!

I used Dimarzio clip lock straps years ago back when i only played superstrats, but those Dimarzio straps aren't comfortable for me when playing a Les Paul.

Love the schallers....hated the dunlops. I have dimarzio clip locks on one of my strats but I'm not a huge fan. Everything gets the schallers.

I dont like fighting the clip locks int a form fitted case. I like the Dunlops on Les Pauls ( something about the angle of the top lock that wears the Schallers out pretty quick) Otherwise I use Schallers on everything else.

I use mostly schallers, except 1 guitar has dunlops. My only complaint with the schallers is that the nut on the strap loosens up over time. They feel more secure than the dunlops to me. I do like on the dunlops that the strap peg is larger, so you can use a regular strap without any strap locks if you want (hey it came in handy).

Both are good, you can't really go wrong either way.

Dunlops + 1

I like suede heavey straps so i cant use the dimarzio straps, I like the system but i dont like all the movement of nylon straps.

Thread over.

My baritone is slightly neck heavy, so to help with slippage, I put a 6 inch piece of gaff tape on the strap where it would contact my shoulder. Slippage fixed, but it doesn't get stuck on my shirt, so I can still move it around.

Dunlop Dual design straplock. I prefer these to any other straplocks.

For true straplocks, I don't think anything touches Schaller for pure function. I've had Dunlops pop out for no apparent reason...I'll never use them again. If a Schaller "malfunctions" it's still supporting the guitar...not so much with the Dunlop.

I have a few Dimarzio clip locks and I think they're ok but definitely not the best option. I've broken two of them going back to '89, one time damaging an '87 Jem 777DY. As was already mentioned, they don't do well in a form fitting case either.

Dunlops have never failed me. Ive had the same pair on my LP for over 10 years..and its used hard. Never popped out. Ive tried a bunch of others with all of them having some sort of issue. Dunlops are great!!!
