Does the Soldano HR25 count as a lunchbox? From the clips, that is the best small amp I have heard, very impressed with it.

The Bogner Atma sound awesome. I'm definitely having gas now.

Not sure I would consider the Soldano Hot Rod 25 a lunchbox amp but that was my choice.

After playing the Mark V25 and several others then playing the Soldano Hot Rod 25 next to a Soldano SLO and Hot Rod 100 I had to buy one. They are the best smaller wattage amp out there IMO and better than most higher wattage amps. Just easier to get that power tube section cooking nicely.

I would go w/ :
Engl Ironball (full discalimer: I have one and love the hell out of it!)
5153 mini
Mark v:25

Wow, I'm really thankful for all the replies.

I'm definitely going to check out the Ironball and the LBX - there's a lot of love for those on here, and I'm pleased because the Ironball was on my list - it validates my thinking!

The LBX needs to be tried too. I'm in London this weekend and will have a a go on a Mark v:25 and hopefully will find an LBX somewhere to try too.

Thanks all.

For anyone looking for a non-high gain lunchbox head - I cannot speak highly enough of the Laney Lionheart L5H, it really is INCREDIBLE! Clean's to die for and make a perfect pedal platform and there's a nice drive channel on there too.
