B Blitzie Member Jan 29, 2016 #1 Looking for a high gain preamp pedal that will do the hot rodded Marshall sound ala Adam Jones. I want something gainy and tight with Marshall brightness. Deciding between the Bogner Blue and Red right now. Anything else out there? Ideas?

B Bxlxaxkxe Amp ho Jan 30, 2016 #4 Out of those two...definitely red. Blue is not a high gain pedal at all-excels at low gain. Red is great for AIC type stuff but it's not really an Adam Jones sound. I'd look into something like a suhr riot or the new be-100 od.
