Yep, but when I boosted my C+s I had the gain down to 2.5, and the boost added mids in perfectly...in frequencies the amp did not have.

Never tried that yet. I'll give it a whirl once its repaired, needs recapped atm so I'm not playing it until then. It's so tight I never tried a boost with it.

I've seen his vids demoing the Mark IV and he said the amp definitely didn't need a boost, but he's just a boost guy so he had to try it of course and he seemed to like it boosted.

The Mark's are super tight if you want them to be, but you can also dial them in to give you a looser kinda tone like Pete Loeffler from Chevelle does. The way he dials in his IV's is unlike any other settings I've ever seen and it seems to work for him cause he's got a great live and studio tone. Just listen to the last Chevelle album NIRATIUS, it sounds huge and there's Mark IV all over it. You can really hear it in the first single "Self Destructor". He also embraces the 750 slider, having it up close to the middle line.

I definitely would try boosting a Mark amp. A guy I bought an amp had a Mark 25 that he boosted with an TS9 for trash metal. Sounded godly. Just run the bass higher as you would usually on a Mark to compensate for the low cut of the pedal.

Fair enough. I didn't see the entire video. But I think it's being blown out of proportion. Just like the right wing does with shit. All of the news is designed to keep us fighting amongst ourselves while Pfizer and the Military Industrial complex continue to actually run things.
