My back likes these aquistions the most. A Mesa 2x12 Recto cab and a 5150 combo for a small stereo rig to take to shows.

I had been looking for this guitar for quite some time with no avail, then one day the planets aligned.

Love that...best looking Charvel I've seen. Now get it looking road worn. :D

I actually just bought an MXR M-66 Classic Overdrive at guitar center the other day...been looking into the GT OD, heard this was the same circuit (in cheaper packaging), which in turn is OD 808-like...for 39.99, can't beat it...blows my SD 1 outta the water that's for sure ;) mids aren't as annoying and the bass suck is VERY minimal

I had two nice purchases this year. Would've only been one actually, JUST happened to snag the Marshall a few days ago to sneak it into 2010...sure won't be any other finds like this before years end. I also picked up a few minor things like a pedal or two, a pair of speakers, a mic, etc, but these were the two main buys:

2010 Limited 10 Year Anny Prestige

...and the amp

For 2010 it was the Diezel VH4 and the Wizard Modern Classic.

#1) My Voodoo Amps V-Rock.

#2) That same amp when I bought it back from the guy I sold it to.

Guess i missed this one in Dec.

Best 2010 purchases:
Scumback M75s - Best speakers I've ever heard
Bogner 20th Anniversary Ecstasy with EL34s - best amp I've ever heard
Gibson Les Paul R9 - best guitar I've ever played

Actually, I didn't expect to like the guitar. I used to have an '05 Faded Les Paul Standard, and while it was incredible, I was always curious about the custom shop models. I decided to take a trip to my local music store to try some out next to mine, and went through the different Les Pauls one by one until I got to the R9. It floored me.

I've since done the right thing and put pickup covers on. Running WCR Godwood bridge and Darkburst neck, and may I reiterate, the tone is stunning.

I think 2010 was my year to buy some of the gear I'll keep for decades. Definitely won't stop buying and selling - it's too much fun and I love trying things out - but for what my setup does, I can't imagine anything fitting me more perfectly.

Bought and sold more high $ guitars this year than any before..well maybe some of it goes back to late 2009...best purchase, probably the Suhr Moderm M1 I since sold....since I really been lookin' for the perfect shred guitar that wasn't an Ibanez.

Based on what I kept my 'cheap' PRS Cu22...awesome tones!

You didnt sell the Les Paul did you :gethim: I use that pic of it laying on the deck as a back ground for my iPhone

Yeah, I need cockpunching for that one :-(
