Which pickup combo do you guys suit best a Gibson Les Paul Standard to be played thru a Friedman BE 100? Music played go from 80's hard rock to hair metal and shred type music.

swapped my burstbucker pro's(stock) out of my favorite 2005 LP Faded yesterday, and put a matched set of Motor City 2nd degree Black belts in there and Damn!!!!(thx Wade) it's sweet thru my be-100

the best pickup combination for a Les Paul standard is whatever two pickups sound best to you. There is no "best" as my best will be different than your best. Everyone has different tastes in tone. How about trying to please your ears instead of everyone elese telling you what THEY prefer that maybe YOU may not like?

I'm just looking for opinions based on the experiences of the folks in the forum. I understand that tone is a subjective matter.

Dig Wade's MCP BB 2's and Suhr Aldrich in my LP's...
Got a set of Ox4's based on Steve/Cherry bombs rec. ready to install...demo's sound killer
It's all Good...

Thats a safe bet. They sound great. I had a set in of my Standards.

I have a MCP Detroiter set in my LP and couldn't be happier!

Its hard to beat a JB in the bridge
and a Jazz in the neck. Might go back to those
once I take out my Solutions.

I mean, I think most of the pickups mentioned in here can be great. But as a few have said, really depends on your tastes and the rest of your signal chain. You have to adjust for what you're dealing with IMO. Like is it a bright or dark LP, what style and tones are you going for what kind of player are you, what amp, what speakers? All of those things affect which pickup would be ideal IMO. Just my .02.
