I'm looking for best solution for my new rig. Can you tell me which poweramp goes best with Egnater IE4?
I was considering Mesa 50/50 or VHT 50/50?!

The Mesa 50/50 is super dark and mushy. The VHT would be a much better fit. The Randall RT2/50 is designed by Bruce Egnater, and has some MAJOR mojo. Best power amp I've owned to date, plus the most versatile, and the nicest in a live situation given you can replace a set of tubes in 2-3 minutes w/ the bias points on the front of the amp.

There's a reason why I've decided on the RT2/50. You won't be disapointed for sure!! The VHT 2/90/2 was my be all end all power amp until I tried the RT2/50. It stood it's ground for sure w/ the VHT 2/90/2, and the flexibility of it won over me w/ the VHT 2/90/2. I find the RT2/50 just more musical...and really awesome! I think you'll love it!

Yeah I remember those days you said nothing compared to your 2/90/2 except maybe a 2150 ...

Is the RT2/50, a 100 watt amp? Essentially 50 watts a side? Does it have a good tranny???? I know guys who have replaced the Tranny on the RM100.
