Congrats on the cool wife/life partner. Not to get all sappy on a metal forum, but some people never experience, and I mean live it not just hear the words, the reality of being unconditionally loved. The cake is a classy touch. You are in a small club of fortunate people.

I was in GC one day playing on a Rectifier, it was sounding good and the price was decent. My wife wen and paid for it, while I was playing it. Right now she is gassing for me to get a Parker Fly. I find that quite funny.

Congrats from a fellow 7-stringer! Regular guitars feel like toothpicks to me too.

there is no way your wife baked that cake, look at it, you obviously baked it your self and are trying to pass it off that she did :D

Looks like a nice guitar Tom! Blue is a nice color

So how was the cake??

The Cake was Carrot cake with creme cheese frosting. Damn it was good! Still is....going to have some for lunch today, haha.

"Dad, THAT is a cool guitar, I want one like that!"

Glad the little dude digs it. I have an OLD emg 81 from around 1987 (it sounds better than the newer ones to my ears).

Thanks man! It was really wierd going back to the 6 string. Switching back and forth is going to take some time to feel right.

I totally forgot to mention this was a collaborative effort between my wife and my 10 year old daughter. She did a great job too!
