Got a new camera and was fooling around with it the other day. I figured I'd take a few pics of my beat-ass-up strat. No clue how old it is, or what model, or what it's made of, or what pickups are in it just yet.. all I know is the neck says MIM and it's is super fun to play.

Yeah everything pretty much came like that. Even the metal hardware was enamel finished with this sort of rust-looking paint. Someone spent a LOT of time making that guitar look as worn-in as it does. The neck is basically brand new though, and I'm probably going to take the pickup covers and switch selector cover off and soak them in some strong coffee for a week so they'll match the rest of the guitar. I'm pretty sure it's like a 2008 or something.

Not very long, like 1-2 mins.

Awesome Pauly!!! I have 2 strats that Im turning into YJM clones( when I can actually find the time to get them done) and one of them is reliced to the point where its just flat out abuse. My son and I kicked the body around in the street for about an hour and then set it on fire and sanded a little. It came out really good and I cant wait to finish it..

the other one Im on the fence about, I may end up with a purple burst but if not, its going to bet the uber relic as well... for my personal tastes, what passes for heavy relicking these days isnt heavy enough, I need my relics to look like theyve been through war; more beat up than an old pornstars vajeen...
